Hinata worries for Naruto while Inoichi searches for the true Pain. Naruto fights remaining paths but is captured by Preta Path, which absorbs his Sage Mode chakra, causing him to petrify from Nature Energy. Fukasaku attempts a Genjutsu but is killed. Pain impales Naruto with Chakra receivers to immobilize him for Nagato’s control. Nagato explains that Jiraiya’s vision of peace is impossible due to human hatred, intending to use tailed beasts to make all life suffer. When asked for another path, Nagato claims his ideal peace is nearly achieved.
