Ep. 169: Naruto confronts Nagato and Konan after defeating Pain and breaking free from Chakra control

Naruto defeats Pain using his final Rasengan and removes the Chakra Receivers before proceeding to Nagato's location. He instructs Katsuya to prevent others from following while Sakura heals Hinata. On the way, Naruto meets Inoichi and Shikaku, with the latter honoring Naruto's request to stand down despite Inoichi's objections. Upon finding Nagato and Konan, the former impales Naruto with a Chakra Rod to control him. Naruto breaks free and declares his murderous intent, but Konan intervenes between him and Nagato, causing the youth to stop himself. Naruto cites Jiraiya's belief in a peaceful world, prompting Nagato to question if he can still believe in that peace after recent events. Noting that Nagato and Konan differ from other Akatsuki members, Naruto asks to hear their story before providing an answer.
