Ep. 229: Naruto's crew faces starvation on the Sea of Silence after a dangerous mushroom causes chaos.

Naruto's ship docks to resupply before entering the Sea of Silence, a windless ocean taking two weeks to cross. Naruto buys a Moldshroom from a merchant, believing it prevents starvation. Once at sea, the fungus multiplies rapidly, destroying their food and water supplies. Yamato falls into a coma as the fungi deplete his Wood Style chakra, leaving him starving. Desperate, Naruto and Guy consume the mushrooms, leading to violent hallucinations that force them to expel the toxins. With no other options, Naruto summons Gamatatsu, who returns with Shima's insect meal for the crew. They survive and ambush the merchant and his two associates during a robbery attempt. After escaping the Sea of Silence, they send the criminals back with a Moldshroom. Naruto must then decide between the now inert mushrooms and Shima's cooking.
