Ep. 259: Sasuke Defeated by Gaara and Naruto, Then Ambushed by Orochimaru's Agents

During the Hidden Sand's invasion of the Hidden Leaf, Sasuke is overwhelmed by Gaara, a jinchuriki who mocks his lack of hatred. Naruto intervenes and defeats Gaara, saving Sasuke. Later, while training, Sasuke seeks out Itachi to avenge his clan but is easily defeated by his brother, who again accuses him of lacking hatred. Jiraiya rescues Sasuke, who is subsequently healed by Tsunade. Sasuke then challenges Naruto to test his strength, but the battle is halted by Kakashi. Sasuke remains surprised by the power of Naruto's newly acquired Rasengan. That night, Orochimaru's bodyguards, the Sound Four, ambush Sasuke and offer him a position to gain greater power.
