Suigetsu gives Sasuke a scroll found at Orochimaru's hideout, prompting Sasuke to revive the missing ninja by reversing a Curse Mark sealing jutsu on Anko using Juugo's extracted sage mode skin. Orochimaru returns, admitting he lacked the strength to steal Sasuke's body but acknowledging the youth's deduction that the Curse Marks hold fragments of his consciousness. Impressed by Sasuke's scroll and his goal to see "them," Orochimaru agrees to guide him after reclaiming chakra from Kabuto.
