Naruto resolves to become the greatest Hokage as he engages Tobi, who defends the Gedo Statue’s transformation into the Ten-Tails. Tobi neutralizes Kakashi’s Kamui and holds off Naruto and Guy, retreating only after Kakashi warps a lightning-infused kunai. The group observes a crack in Tobi’s mask as he erects a barrier against Gyuuki. Kakashi theorizes that Tobi’s phasing and teleportation are both Kamui techniques. When questioned, Tobi claims to have obtained the eye during a battle at Kannabi Bridge. Rejecting Tobi’s despair, Naruto allows Kurama to briefly take control. Kurama reveals Minato sealed him in Naruto to provide the power to defeat Tobi, urging Naruto to charge forward.
