Ep. 358: Danzo pushes for Uchiha surveillance while Shisui attempts to prevent a clan coup
Danzo convinces the Leaf Council to place the Uchiha clan under constant surveillance, blaming their Sharingan for the Nine-Tails' attack years ago. Despite Hiruzen's objections, military police aggression increases, prompting Shisui Uchiha to request a private audience with the Third Hokage to resolve the tension. Shisui plans to use Kotoamatsukami on Fugaku to stop the coup, but Danzo attacks him to steal the eyes. Shisui defeats Danzo initially but is forced to escape after Danzo uses Izanagi. Realizing his plan has failed, Shisui gives his left eye to Itachi, asking him to protect the village and clan honor before committing suicide. Itachi witnesses the event as his Mangekyo Sharingan awakens, leaving him to decide how to fulfill his friend's final wishes amidst worsening relations.
