Shikamaru, Chouji, Kiba, Akamaru, Neji, Yamato, and Kakashi all fail against Mecha-Naruto, with Neji and Yamato eliminated. Gaara saves Naruto but is lured away by Deidara. Orochimaru summons a giant snake to capture both Naruto and Mecha-Naruto, reprogramming the machine. Jiraiya summons Gamabunta to free them. Mecha-Naruto nearly drains Naruto's Nine-Tails chakra until Itachi changes its programming to restore it. Mecha-Naruto then cuts Orochimaru in half and activates Mecha-Kurama, causing chaos in Konohagakure. Mecha-Naruto merges with Naruto to fight Mecha-Kurama, but their attacks fail. Mecha-Naruto sacrifices itself to destroy Mecha-Kurama. Villagers celebrate, only to be drowned by Gaara's Quicksand Waterfall Flow.
