Team Asuma avoids ambushes by taking a different route to deliver scrolls, but Sakura collapses due to chakra depletion from the Strength of a Hundred Seal. She recalls Tsunade’s training and awakens as Team Saya confronts them. Saya targets Ino and Sakura, leaving Mamushi and Sana to fight Chōji. Using a Puppet Imitation Technique with a hair sample, Saya invades Ino’s mind and controls her. She then applies the same method to a giant Chōji after he captures her teammates. Ino uses Mind Body Switch to enter Chōji’s mind to expel Saya, while Sakura struggles to fight without enough chakra. Meanwhile, at Orochimaru’s hideout, Sasuke releases Suigetsu to test abilities.
