Ep. 418: Orochimaru's Team Confronts Kabuto While Guy Opens the Eighth Gate Against Madara
Orochimaru and his team locate Sasuke, discovering the unknown chakra belongs to Kabuto, who assimilates others. Kabuto reveals he chose to save Sasuke after understanding his identity through Izanami. Meanwhile, Guy opens the Seventh Gate against Madara, but the attack fails. Realizing the necessity of the Eighth Gate despite the fatal risk, Guy recalls his past. He remembers failing to graduate, attempting 500 laps to enter the Academy as an alternate student, and passing out while the Third Hokage watched. Guy recalls apologizing to his father, only to be scolded for lacking faith. Frustrated by mockery, Guy attacked two older ninja but was brutalized until Kakashi intervened. After being saved, Guy watched Kakashi leave with his father.
