Ep. 456: Itachi and Juuzou face Yagura during a mission while Akatsuki plans to gather Tailed Beasts

Juuzou recounts his defeat of four Mist swordsmen to Itachi before they execute an assassination. The Akatsuki convenes as Pain updates members on their reputation and the plan to collect Tailed Beasts. Juuzou receives a disliked assignment in the Land of Water and orders Itachi to kill him if captured. They complete the task but are pursued by Yagura and Kiri Anbu. After Juuzou neutralizes the Anbu, Yagura uses Isobu’s power to paralyze Itachi. Juuzou intervenes, blocking a Tailed Beast Ball with his sword, which impales him. Itachi activates Amaterasu to defeat Yagura, but Juuzou succumbs to his wounds. Later, Kakuzu’s partner is revealed dead, Orochimaru fails to possess Itachi, and Pain assigns Kisame as Itachi’s new partner.
