Hidden Sand forces repair mountain damages and remove wall explosives. Temari receives bad news, worries for her brother, and joins Team Kakashi. Naruto, Sakura, Kakashi, and Temari travel through the forest, recalling Gaara’s past, the Chunin Exams, and Sasuke. Naruto regrets Itachi meeting Sasuke, which divided Team 7. Hidden Sand medical ninjas fail to cure Kankuro’s poisoning. Baki witnesses Kankuro’s suffering and informs Chiyo and Ebizo, elder Councillors, about the Akatsuki. Hidden Sand villagers discuss their loss and plan their next steps.
