While taking cover from the rain, Natsume and Tanuma arrive at a house belonging to Taki. They assist her in cleaning a warehouse where her grandfather previously studied youkai. During the process, Natsume inadvertently breaks a seal created by Taki's grandfather, which was designed to contain a dangerous kimono youkai. The trio must locate the creature's scattered limbs before it reassembles itself, as completing its body will restore its full power. Although they attempt to enlist the help of resident youkai, these entities refuse to assist. The situation escalates when the kimono youkai threatens Natsume's safety, prompting the resident spirits to intervene and save him. Following the incident, Taki expresses her gratitude, and the group shares memories regarding their affection for her grandfather before departing the location.
