Mr. Fukuman, president of Tsurumori Transportation, hosts the Touzai cultural news team for a special dinner. He serves blowfish on a heritage platter and turtle soup prepared in a solid gold pot. Yamaoka finds the flavor lacking and claims he could make a better version. The following day, Yamaoka serves a simple broth cooked in an old clay pot that has been used for making turtle soup for 30 years. The soup proves delicious, leading Fukuman to offer an exchange of his golden pot for the charred clay one.
