Aired on February 4, 1992

130
Chairman Niki tasks Ohara with managing a new Nito headquarters restaurant, threatening to give the contract to Teito News if refused. Ohara assigns the work to Yamaoka, who is offered a 51% stake in the venture if he joins the Nito group. Yamaoka meets Mariko’s aunt, Teruko, hinting at an expected marriage to Mariko, which visibly upsets Kurita. Yamaoka later invites Niki to the Sarden restaurant, where the group dines on sardine dishes. Yamaoka explains the owner created the concept from scratch using an undervalued fish, and declines the ownership offer to maintain his integrity. Niki respects his principles but asks him to continue the project, to which Yamaoka agrees. A relieved Kurita then suggests taking Yamaoka out for a drink.
