Soichi Tayama invites college friend Kurita to his father's Dainichi Hotel restaurant, where he is smitten with her. Tayama arranges for Kurita and Yamaoka to evaluate the establishment for Touzai News, joining them with food critic Takehara. Takehara claims that Kurita and Yamaoka are too young to create the Ultimate Menu, asserting that appreciating fine food requires three generations. This remark is a ploy by Tayama to demoralize Kurita. However, the duo correctly identifies five different raw meats and discovers that two complex sauces were mixed up by kitchen staff, resulting in identical plates. Takehara apologizes for his rudeness. The following day, Tayama offers Kurita flowers and requests another dinner, but she declines his invitation.
