Emma invites Noir to a noble party while Noir’s father struggles with unfair rental restrictions for his shop. At the event, the Earl reveals a threat to his Mermaid's Tear jewel and hires the Lahmu guild for security. Mike Kental challenges Noir to a dance-off, which Noir wins using LP. The Phantom Thief then steals the jewel and kidnaps Emma. Leila Overlock pursues them with Noir, defeating a summoned Phoenix while Noir confronts the thief. Tom Bertholda, the thief’s partner, pins them and declares his intent to marry Emma. Noir asserts Emma’s value, and they defeat Tom together. Emma fears Noir’s judgment, but he reassures her with a kiss. Leila agrees to friendship despite guild rivalry, and the Earl assists Noir with a significant rent discount for his new shop.
