Susumu, feeling guilty for a failed mission, attempts seppuku, but Ayumu stops him. Akesato encourages Saya to follow her heart. Tetsu refuses food all day due to recent events but eventually eats after finding Ayumu at night. She advises honesty and avoiding complicated matters. When Tetsu calls her a big sister, Ayumu tearfully suggests he befriend Susumu for inspiration.
