While drying laundry, Tetsu spots a figure resembling Saya. During a spar, Saitou senses Tetsu’s distraction by a living person from his past and knocks him out after Tetsu feels surrounded by flames. Yamanami and Heisuke take the unconscious Tetsu to an okiya, where he meets a courtesan named Akesato. Tatsu opposes this arrangement and sets out to track them down. Upon arrival, Tetsu discovers that both Hana and Saya are residing in the okiya, surprising him significantly.
