Ep. 10: Reiji confronts Scythe Master while battling his Zwei persona and losing Eren in San Francisco
Reiji recalls a conversation with Eren before reconnecting with his Zwei persona to assassinate Scythe Master. Lizzie and her group join the mission in San Francisco under Claudia’s orders. Reiji struggles to control Zwei, causing erratic behavior while empowering the alter ego through his intent to kill. Upon contacting Scythe Master, Reiji discovers his efforts to make Eren independent have failed. During the fight, Eren protects Scythe Master’s escape. Reiji unleashes Zwei’s full power, phasing and tracking his target, but the mental strain causes him to go berserk. Eren intercepts Reiji’s killing shot, falling into the sea. Scythe Master escapes after defeating reinforcements, leaving Reiji stunned. Reiji sinks into the ocean, remembering his promise to Eren, and is later found lifeless on a beach at sunrise.
