Ep. 12: Reiji protects Cal Devens after discovering her sister Judy murdered by a professional assassin.
Six months after eliminating the Gambino family's second-in-command, Reiji remains with Claudia to shield innocents from Inferno's violent expansion. While Claudia secures approval from McGuire to negotiate with the Godo clan regarding Japanese export monopolies, she and Reiji travel to Isaac's territory. They discover that Isaac's men and others have been slaughtered by a skilled killer. Among the victims, Reiji identifies a woman named Judy, whose peaceful posture moves him deeply. Lizzie confirms Judy possessed no weapons. Reiji returns to the scene with flowers, where he meets Cal Devens, Judy's sister. Cal reveals she knows the killer's identity and demands to help investigate. Although initially reluctant, Reiji agrees to take Cal under his protection to safeguard her from Inferno and assist in avenging Judy.
