Ep. 12: Rihito and Murdoch face military academy trials and learn about Althing

Rihito and Murdoch enter a school that turns out to be a military academy in post-war Japan. Murdoch loses control of his iron ability after losing his ballot. Headmaster Schmelman tests recruits by having Alan shoot laughing students with paint bullets, then threatens Rihito. Rihito refuses to break Schmelman’s neck and offers to die for Hina instead. Firenda reveals the recruits are alive. Schmelman notes Rihito’s potential despite his different appearance from future Licht. Murdoch suspects Nana wants them to uncover Althing’s origin. Alan explains Althing is advanced technology that forced humans to vote for peace and nuclear disarmament, though he hides the negative consequences. Pele fails to research Althing on a computer.
