Team Blue, led by Ash and Pikachu, focuses on battling, including a World Coronation Series ranking match. Team Red, guided by Goh, Raboot, and Chloe, engages in catching Pokémon. Team Yellow accompanies Professor Cerise and Yamper. The excursion takes a dangerous turn when Team Rocket attempts to steal Pikachu, Raboot, and Yamper by deploying a fake Lugia, creating distinct but challenging experiences for each group as they navigate their assigned tasks amidst the deception.
