Later at the Cerise Institute, the egg hatches into a Riolu that flees and attacks wild Pokémon without discrimination. The situation escalates when Riolu targets an Onix, a battle potentially too difficult for the young Pokémon to win alone. Ash and Pikachu must hurry to intervene before Riolu is overwhelmed by the stronger opponent, requiring their immediate assistance to resolve the dangerous encounter.
