Sprigatito accidentally strikes Liko with Leafage during a training match with Roy, causing a wrist sprain. Overcome with guilt, the Pokémon flees to a breeding shelter managed by Marnya, who originally selected Liko as its trainer. When Liko visits to retrieve Sprigatito, the Pokémon avoids her. Marnya reveals that Sprigatito was ostracized by other Pokémon after injuring them while attempting to rescue them from a Spidops. Liko reassures Sprigatito that she will never abandon it, citing their shared experiences. This bond empowers Sprigatito to evolve its Leafage into Magical Leaf, successfully defending Liko’s other Pokémon from a Spidops threat.
