Yuno from Pigton Town asks Nidothing to help her depressed Oinkologne find a partner for a tag battle tournament. Nidothing sends Liko and Roy, who discover the female Oinkologne, Twirly, loves Prince, owned by Yuno’s rival and secret crush, Renta. Prince rejects Twirly, favoring other Pokémon attracted to his scent. Quaxly dances to distract Prince’s admirers, causing a jealous Prince to cover Quaxly in dirt. Twirly attacks Prince to defend Quaxly, earning his respect. Yuno and Renta reluctantly agree to partner for their Pokémon’s sake. After training with Liko and Roy, they win the tournament together.
