After a storm, Liko and Mollie examine their Pokémon and encounter an unusual solitary Tandemaus, which typically lives in pairs. The creature guides them to a tunnel obstructed by a fallen tree, where they rescue its missing partner. As the Tandemaus continues to signal for more companions deeper inside, Liko and Hatenna follow. They discover two smaller Pokémon, revealing the group to be a Maushold family of four. Hatenna uses the move Heal Pulse to treat the injured Maushold. Following this rescue, the Maushold family remains on the Brave Olivine with the group.
