Ash and his companions seek shelter from a storm at an enigmatic estate. There, they encounter Duplica, a skilled impersonator who owns Ditto, a Pokémon capable of transforming into other creatures. Ditto currently fails to alter its facial features, a limitation that previously halted Duplica's television program. The group attempts to assist Ditto in mastering this specific transformation. Meanwhile, Team Rocket arrives with the intention of capturing Ditto. They plan to force it to transform into a Dratini, which they intend to present to their boss as a valuable acquisition.
