Ash and his friends visit a laboratory to observe Professors Juniper and Fennel revive the ancient Pokémon Archen. The process utilizes Fennel's Musharna, but the awakened creature becomes aggressive and attacks the group. Team Rocket attempts to steal Archen and the restoration machine data. While the professors wonder about Archen's place in the modern era, the Pokémon destroys the facility upon waking. Its cries trigger the growth of an ancient plant within the lab, creating further disruption during the revival experiment.
