Lillie's egg named Snowy hatches into an Alolan Vulpix, while the principal's egg becomes a normal Vulpix. The fire-type plays with Pikachu, Togedemaru, and Popplio, but Snowy remains aloof until it voluntarily enters Lillie's Pokéball. Lillie takes Snowy for a private walk, secretly followed by Mallow and Ash. Team Rocket intercepts the pair, overwhelming Lillie's Powder Snow attacks. Ash and Mallow intervene to rescue them. This encounter allows Lillie to finally touch a Pokémon, specifically Snowy, marking a significant personal milestone in her journey.
