Ash and friends return to Melemele Island, where Team Rocket attempts to steal Pikachu. Ash’s new Z-move Continental Crush fails, but Kiawe’s move blasts the villains off. Bewear does not appear, causing Jessie and Mimikyu to crash in a shopping mall. Mimikyu’s disguise is damaged, so Jessie creates a temporary paper bag cover while searching for a replacement. Meanwhile, James, Meowth, and Wobbuffet search for their partner. Ash and Lycanroc practice Continental Crush. Jessie repairs the Pikachu disguise, but Murkrow steal it while seeking Jessie’s donut. The group reunites, and Mimikyu drives off the angry Murkrow. Jessie and Mimikyu challenge Ash again, confident in their bond. Ash and Lycanroc master the move, blasting Team Rocket off once more, but Bewear rescues them this time.
