Ash, Professor Kukui, and Principal Oak arrive in Kanto for a school project comparing regional Pokémon. Misty and Brock greet them at the airport, where Brock tends to Lillie's Snowy and chases a flight attendant. At Professor Oak's lab, the Alolan group interacts with local Pokémon: Ash is trampled by Tauros and reunites with Bulbasaur and Muk; Kiawe races a Rapidash on his Charizard; Mallow and Steenee encounter a Vileplume; Sophocles and Togedemaru meet Raichu; Snowy meets Ninetales; and Lana and Popplio swim with Dewgong. While the group reminisces, Team Rocket attempts to steal Pokémon with a giant mecha, prompting Ash, Misty, and Brock to battle using Lycanroc, Staryu, and Crobat. The fight is interrupted by Bewear and Jigglypuff. The day concludes with a feast prepared by Delia and Mr. Mime, observed by Mew.
