The Furinkan High rhythmic gymnastics team faces Kodachi from St. Bacchus School in one week. They recruit Akane to fill in, believing she can defeat the undefeated Kodachi. That night, Kodachi breaks into the Tendo Dojo to eliminate Akane but fails. Instead, she encounters Ranma and falls in love. The next morning, she declares Ranma the prize for the match. The team discovers Kodachi is Kuno’s younger sister. Akane trains with Ranma and Ryoga, improving her skills. However, the night before the match, Akane trips and injures her leg, preventing her from competing. With no substitute available, Ryoga turns Ranma into his female form to fill in for Akane.
