Ep. 5: Akane Confesses Feelings and Ranma Discovers Ryoga's Cursed Spring Origin
Akane leaves Ranma and Ryoga stunned, having previously grown her hair to imitate Kasumi and attract Dr. Tofu. She breaks down at his clinic, confessing her feelings before heading home with high spirits. Ranma apologizes for his earlier behavior, discovering Akane’s playful side. Meanwhile, a stormy Ryoga sneaks into the Tendo residence seeking revenge but flees quickly. Ranma suspects Ryoga fell into a cursed spring at Jusenkyo. Akane finds a shivering black piglet in her room and adopts it, asking Ranma to give it a hot bath. The pig transforms into Ryoga, who explains he was knocked into the Spring of Drowned Black Piglet by Ranma in female form while chasing Genma as a panda. Ranma turns Ryoga back into a pig and chases him, but Akane intervenes, taking the pig to sleep with her. Unaware of his identity, her affection causes Ryoga to fall hopelessly in love with her.
