Ep. 8: Minato's Amnesia Returns After Confronting Chinu About His Past Bullying

Minato questions Chinu about a memory of insulting a teammate, confirming he was arrogant and bullied Hiroshi Ichinose into quitting water polo. Chinu admits she fabricated part of their bet to deny him the chance to quit after crushing another's spirit. As she leaves, Minato's full memories return, but he collapses while biking home, hitting his head. Hospitalized, he suffers amnesia again, losing last year's memories while keeping his middle school self. He asks Coach Bizen to rejoin Shogakukan, but is rejected due to a physical development gap. Enraged, Minato insults his teammates from Yamanami, ransacks his room, and breaks down crying at the episode's end.
