Dr. Regal employs a Dark SynchroChip to merge with his NetNavi, LaserMan, subsequently destroying ShadeMan. Giant LaserMen then assault global cities. Lan utilizes DoubleSoul during CrossFusion to confront Regal, but the attack drains his energy. CrossFusion ProtoMan returns to assist, yet Regal targets the Sci-Labs. The souls of the NetNavis, which power the Dimensional Area Converters, plead for help, reviving Lan. He achieves FullSynchro and completely defeats Dr. Regal. Peace returns as everyone observes shooting stars, including Ms. Yuri, who remarks that as one chapter ends, another begins.
