Seijuurou recalls his first meeting with Kenshin as training continues. Kenshin demonstrates his readiness to learn the final technique, prompting Seijuurou to instruct him in the Kuzu-ryuusen attack, which delivers nine strikes to the fundamental targets of swordsmanship. Seijuurou declares that Kenshin must defeat this method using an ultimate attack. Burdened by concern for his friends, Kenshin searches his own soul to find what was missing in his life. He ultimately masters the Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki technique, although achieving this power comes at a severe cost to his concept of survival.
