Ep. 5: Masamune and Uesugi meet at Hitotoribashi while battles unfold in Shikoku and Setouchi

Masamune stops Kojuurou from committing seppuku after returning to Oshu, taking his sword to replace one lost previously. The group travels to Setouchi where Uesugi’s forces are stationed. In Osaka, Hanbei deceives Kojuurou by claiming Masamune was defeated, using a lost sword as proof. Keiji encounters Hanbei, who reminds him of events at Tetorigawa. Meanwhile, Yukimura observes Hideyoshi’s forces departing for Shikoku while traveling to Satsuma. Uesugi unexpectedly returns his army, surprising Masamune. The two leaders meet at the bridge, where Masamune thanks Uesugi for permitting his advance toward Satsuma. Simultaneously, in Shikoku, Motochika and Motonari initiate their naval battle. This sequence highlights the shifting alliances and military movements across multiple regions as characters navigate the aftermath of recent conflicts and strategic decisions.
