Ep. 9: Imperial aides arrive as Selvaria pursues Prince Maximilian amid assassination attempts.
Imperial Central Command sends three aides to serve the Generals, including Karl Oswald assigned to Selvaria. Prince Maximilian is recalled to the Imperial Capitol alone, prompting Selvaria to suspect a plot. Jaegar advises Selvaria to follow her instincts, but Karl stops her initial pursuit by citing regulations. An assassin targets Karl, but Selvaria eliminates the threat. Karl then reveals his true mission was to prevent Selvaria from accompanying the Prince. He redeems himself by driving Selvaria and Jaegar to catch up with Maximilian. During the journey, Selvaria fights off assassins targeting the Prince, leading Karl to witness her combat prowess and understand her "Azure Witch" moniker. Maximilian survives the attack unharmed, causing consternation for the Crown Prince. Karl is relieved when Selvaria accepts him as her aide.
