Rosemary recovers and joins Barbie, an elite Star Bearer, who lectures the Dolls. Barbie blames Rum for cleaning failures, prompting Shaun to defend her. Barbie sentences Emilico, Shaun, and Ram to seven days of night watch to identify the phantom culprit. Sleep deprivation hampers their work until Shaun brings blankets. A Faceless Doll frightens Rum, leading Emilico and Shaun to search for her. Emilico nearly dies in a booby trap at the house exit. They find Rum and discover the phantom was caused by a loose trapdoor leaking soot from the cellar. Meanwhile, Kate waits for Emilico to return so they can prepare for their debut together.
