Jul 6, 2018Haruto Amō leads his six-member guild, Subaru, on a quest in the MMORPG Union. During a dungeon boss encounter, Asahi Kuga dies in-game while protecting Haruto, and subsequently passes away from heart failure in the real world, causing the game to shut down. Six years later, the game is relaunched as Re'Union, restricting access to invited players only. Haruto receives an invitation and, after clearing a dungeon, discovers Asahi sleeping inside a treasure chest.

Jul 13, 2018Haruto learns from Asahi that she remains stuck in the game world, believing it is still the day of a failed quest six years ago. During an attack by a rival guild, Asahi utilizes her Sense ability to predict movements, compensating for Haruto's lack of the same power. Takanori Mikado, a former Subaru guild member, arrives with his new guild, Illuminati, to defeat the attackers. After logging out, Satsuki Usui visits Haruto, urging him to stop running from his past. The two later meet in-game and journey together. Haruto eventually enters a cave where he encounters Elicia, who seems aware of Asahi's situation and warns Haruto that he is being targeted.

Jul 20, 2018Jealousy drives Satsuki to ask Asahi to stay away from Haruto after revealing his changed nature, causing an argument that makes Haruto log out. Satsuki visits him to remind him of a promise made six years ago when Subaru members exchanged rings. Returning to the game, Haruto and Asahi adventure to gather materials for a ring Haruto gives to Asahi, while Satsuki creates one for herself. The trio enters the dungeon of their final quest to find answers about Asahi, where they encounter the boss that killed him, summoned by Elicia. After a difficult struggle, Haruto recalls his promise to protect Asahi, awakening his Sense to defeat the boss.

Jul 27, 2018Upon leaving the cave, an artifact attached to Asahi drops, causing Haruto to experience visions revealing truths about her origin. As news of their dungeon conquest spreads, Haruto’s party is attacked by the Southern Cross guild and then the Brill Society guild, where leader Angelus invites Haruto to join but is refused. The group enters the Tower of Heaven, a dungeon they previously struggled to clear at low levels. Inside, Satsuki is immobilized by the dungeon boss, leading her to lose trust in Haruto. After defeating the boss, they encounter Takanori and his guild, who warn Haruto to stay away from Asahi.

Aug 3, 2018Haruto prepares to fight Takanori, but Satsuki intervenes. Takanori states their relationship has changed permanently and refuses to rejoin Subaru. Haruto searches for clues about Clive Vivali and Nozomi Kusaka but finds no trace of them in the game. Meanwhile, Takanori merges Illuminati, Southern Cross, and Brill Society to create the new guild Divine. Haruto's party is separated by sudden fog, and Asahi is kidnapped by Divine members who betray Takanori. Haruto escapes the skirmish with Elicia's help, while Satsuki fights her way out. Determined to rescue Asahi, Haruto heads to the captive's location, preparing to battle numerous Divine members.

Aug 10, 2018Satsuki recalls Asahi’s past comfort and asks Takanori to help Haruto save her. Haruto fights Divine members but is overwhelmed until Satsuki and Takanori arrive. The trio finds Angelus holding Asahi captive. Satsuki awakens her Sense to defeat the guild members, leaving only Angelus and the Southern Cross leader. Angelus transforms into a monster, and they are easily defeated while Asahi is rescued. Using the Prophet Art, the group discovers Asahi is part of a failed experiment. Meanwhile, Clive observes the battle from afar with Elicia, who is plotting to awaken the Senses of Subaru members.

Aug 17, 2018Haruto, Asahi, and Satsuki board Alwida's ship to find a legendary sword underwater. Haruto identifies the weapon as one he used in Union, but the giant sea dragon Aegir guards it. Clive arrives to help the group retreat from the underwater struggle. In the real world, Takanori meets Haruto and Satsuki, warning that the organization Gnosis is plotting and likely faked Asahi's death. They also learn Nozomi has returned to town. Back in the game, Haruto's party attempts to retrieve the sword again, now aided by Clive's power to move underwater. They defeat Aegir, but Clive betrays the group and stabs Haruto when the sword is retrieved.

Aug 24, 2018Haruto awakens in an alternate reality generated by Asahi's Prophet Art, having survived a six-year coma where his character died instead of Asahi's. Elicia explains that Senses function in the real world and that Union serves as a Gnosis training ground to develop the ultimate Sense. After sending Asahi back to the moment before Clive stabbed him, Haruto identifies the fake Clive as Simon, a Gnosis member who merges with Aegir to attack. Alwida arrives as the real Clive, and together they help Haruto retrieve a sword to defeat Aegir. Following the battle, the party experiences a vision from a red stone fragment, learning that Elicia attempted to lock her Sense, causing the containing stone to shatter.

Aug 31, 2018Haruto informs the Subaru members about Gnosis and Union based on Elicia’s information, while Clive urges them to locate Nozomi and awaken her Sense. Haruto and Satsuki reunite with Nozomi, discovering she has become a fashion model and stopped gaming following Asahi's death. Satsuki confesses her feelings to Haruto, asking for a decision at the upcoming dance. Before the in-game ball, Haruto and Takanori argue at Asahi’s grave regarding protection duties but reconcile. Takanori allows Haruto to dance with Asahi’s avatar, while he dances with Satsuki, who was rejected. Nozomi, recalling Takanori’s past kindness, logs into Re'Union and witnesses the dance, causing her to break down. She is then approached by two Gnosis agents who demand she join their organization.

Sep 7, 2018Haruto, Satsuki, and Takanori visit Nozomi's home after learning of her disappearance. They determine she logged into Re'Union when she vanished, prompting Takanori to ask Clive to trace her activity and locate her in the game. The group travels to that spot and is attacked by her oversized familiars. Upon defeating them, a brainwashed Nozomi appears alongside her kidnappers from Gnosis Cerinthus and Marcion. The party attempts to attack Cerinthus and Marcion but fails to land a hit. Nozomi places a curse on Asahi, forcing the group to retreat. Back in the real world, Takanori realizes Nozomi had a crush on him and that seeing him dance with Satsuki allowed Gnosis to exploit her jealousy. Suddenly, the three feel dizzy as they discover their perceptions have been altered by a Sense.

Sep 14, 2018After a Gnosis member thanks Subaru and disappears, Haruto logs back into Re'Union. Asahi wakes from a nightmare at the base as her friends return, but the base is destroyed, forcing an evacuation. The party enters a newly appeared dungeon where Asahi’s Sense malfunctions. They encounter Nozomi, Cerinthus, and Marcion. Takanori confronts Nozomi, refusing to dodge her attacks to reach her. He apologizes for ignoring her feelings and embraces her, returning her to normal. Meanwhile, Haruto is shot by Asahi, who acts on a grudge against him due to Sense influence.

Haruto awakens his Sense to defeat Cerinthus and Marcion, revealing Elicia as Subaru's seventh member.
Aug 21, 2018Asahi shoots Haruto, triggering the goddess within her to awaken for Cerinthus and Marcion’s paradise plan. Cerinthus attacks Clive but is stopped by Elicia. Haruto remembers his promise to Asahi, regaining consciousness with his Sense powered up. He easily defeats Cerinthus and Marcion in their final attack. Nozomi crafts a new sheath for Haruto’s sword using her Sense. Elicia explains the seven jewels on the blade, noting Subaru appears as six or seven stars. The party logs out, where Takanori returns Nozomi’s feelings. Later, they log back in for their first quest as a reunited guild while Gnosis’s actions become public. The episode ends with a cliffhanger revealing Elicia is the seventh member of Subaru.
