Nozomi tries to seduce Ouri while controlled by a growing balloon. Mizuki Inuhiko intervenes, claiming Nozomi loves him, before she escapes and binds Makina to a balloon. Makina enters an illusionary amusement park where she meets Toya, who equates death with happiness. After Makina defeats Toya, the truth emerges: Toya was a girl poisoned by her poor family during a park visit, leading to her distorted beliefs. Hizuchi reveals this backstory and knocks Makina unconscious. Ouri attempts to destroy the Shikabane but fails. Hizuchi then appears, destroying the Shikabane and killing Nozomi in the process.
