Ep. 9: Makina and Ouri unite to defeat Hizuchi after Ouri transforms into a Shikabane.

Ouri was the only survivor when his mother, now a Shikabane, killed many children. Hizuchi, one of the victims, regretted eating anything to survive before dying. Keisei adopted Ouri then and wanted to hide this truth. Suddenly, a black cat engulfs Ouri, turning him into a Shikabane. Akasha tells Makina that Hokuto was raised as a human sacrifice but became a Shikabane without regrets, embodying death. Makina cannot match Hokuto’s power and is thrown into a lake. Sensing Ouri is in danger, Makina rises again with a reason to fight. As Ouri attempts suicide by fire, the black cat takes over, revealing itself to be the kidnapped children from the past. Hizuchi prepares to kill Ouri, but Makina arrives just in time to help, allowing them to defeat Hizuchi together.
