Ep. 6: Nagate and Shizuka return to Sidonia as heroes before facing a new Gauna threat

Nagate and Shizuka return to Sidonia as heroes, leading to promotions for Nagate, Shizuka, Kunato, and En Honoka as official Guardian pilots. Kunato apologizes for past behavior, and Nagate questions Captain Kobayashi about his upbringing and healing speed, but she urges him to continue his work. During a party, Yuhata invites Nagate on an underwater ride, but he ends up alone with Shizuka in a bathysphere. Their time is interrupted by a large Gauna pod approaching Sidonia. Nagate departs to confront the Gauna 488 with Shizuka. He later wakes in the hospital to learn that Shizuka was killed in the battle.
