Blue Typhoon lands on the lifeless planet Hobidon. Sonic and his companions discover the ruins of a colony and an abandoned structure. They enter the building in search of a Chaos Emerald. Inside, they encounter the Metarex Deserd, a foe capable of transforming at will. The group faces a difficult situation against this enemy. Their predicament is interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Shadow. This sudden appearance changes the dynamics of their encounter on the desolate world.
