Frieren and her companions travel to meet Old Man Voll, a dwarf warrior she previously encountered while adventuring with Himmel and his group. Voll has spent a long period defending a village against demons. During their interaction, Frieren remembers words spoken by Himmel in the past. Subsequently, the group arrives at a village where they discover the footprints belonging to Sein's best friend, who had once made a promise to become an adventurer alongside him.
