Ep. 20: Fern and Wirbel teams clash while Denken targets Frieren for the First Class title
Fern defeats Ehre with rapid magic, while Wirbel subdues Übel but hesitates to kill her, allowing Fern to intervene. Land uses illusion magic to defeat Scharf. Wirbel explains he fights demons to impress a former love, and his team captures a Stille by chance. Laufen steals Frieren’s Stille using speed magic as Denken’s team approaches. Denken reveals he knows Frieren is the legendary mage from the hero’s party and splits her team, threatening to eliminate Lawine or Kanne to halt their progress. Although Denken advises restraint since the First Class title is not worth killing for, Richter disagrees. Richter cites the privilege granted by Serie, leader of the Continental Mages Association, who promises any requested spell to those who achieve the title. The two groups then engage in battle.
