Ep. 23: Sense outlines the second test rules for eighteen examinees in the King's Tomb dungeon.

Sense congratulates the eighteen candidates who passed the first test and explains the second exam parameters. Participants must reach the bottom of the Ruins of the King's Tomb dungeon to pass. Sense, a pacifist, states that anyone reaching the bottom succeeds. She provides bottles that summon a golem to aid escape, but using one causes automatic failure. These bottles shatter at dawn, setting the time limit. An examinee notes no party has cleared this dungeon, but Sense insists first-class mages can succeed. Denken proposes cooperation, but mistrust causes the group to split. Sense follows Frieren and Fern, who progress despite Frieren falling for mimics. Frieren attributes her dungeon skills to Himmel. Sense questions Fern’s lack of ambition, to which Fern replies she enjoys seeing Frieren happy. Meanwhile, Wirbel and Denken’s groups face magic-copying replicas. Denken’s group defeats a Laufen replica but encounters a Frieren replica.
