In the past, Flamme introduces Frieren to Serie, who offers a spell, but Frieren prefers searching for them herself. Flamme asserts Frieren will defeat the Demon King. In the present, Frieren’s party battles Denken’s team. Richter restrains Lawine and Kanne, sparing them if Denken wins. Denken attacks Frieren with high-level spells, but she defeats him with close-range magic. Frieren threatens Denken to retrieve the Stille. Denken reveals his goal to become a first-class mage.
