Jul 8, 2010Six months after the conflict in Brittania, the 504th Joint Fighter Wing encounters a powerful Neuroi nest above Venezia that destroys previous enemies and attacks relentlessly. Yoshika, having just finished middle school, receives blueprints from Amaki Suwa believed to be from her father. Upon learning that the Strike Witches are in danger from the superior Neuroi, she disregards Mio’s order to return home. Instead, Yoshika retrieves her former Striker Unit to follow Mio into combat. Impressed by Yoshika’s determination, Mio permits her to join the mission. During their flight, which lasts for a week, their aircraft encounters a Neuroi ship, escalating the immediate threat they face.

Jul 15, 2010Neuroi attacks a plane while a battleship fleet provides support but is easily defeated. Yoshika flies into battle to protect the ships with her enhanced magic because Mio is still unable to use her shield. Mio then uses her enhanced katana to slice through the Neuroi's beam and destroy it. However, it soon reforms itself, its core continuously shifting places to avoid being destroyed. Yoshika has a tough time facing it until the Witches arrive to assist, giving Mio the opportunity to destroy it with her katana. Setting up base in Romagna, Minna officially reforms the 501st Joint Fighter Wing.

Meanwhile, Yoshika, Lynette, and Perrine, having become out of shape during six months of inactivity, are sent to train with Anna Ferrara. Anna teaches them the fundamentals, specifically how to ride brooms. The girls initially struggle with the lessons but eventually begin to master the skill. During their training session, a Neuroi ship approaches Anna's home, posing a direct threat. The three girls cooperate to defeat the enemy aircraft, successfully protecting Anna's residence and demonstrating their improved capabilities.

Minna bans usage and confines Barkhorn, who ignores the order to chase a fast Neuroi. She defeats the enemy, but the Striker malfunctions and she faints again. Charlotte pushes her own unit to the limit to rescue Barkhorn, destroying the prototype. Later, Ursula Hartmann, Erica's twin sister, arrives with a shipment of potatoes as an apology for the defective equipment.

The pair bond and explore the city, though Lucchini spends all the food money Charlotte provided. A Neuroi ship attack forces Lucchini to rejoin Yoshika and Charlotte to defeat the enemy. Afterward, Lucchini shows Maria a bird's eye view of Roma, emphasizing the importance of protecting the city. Upon returning home, it is revealed that Maria is the Duchess of the Principality of Romagna. She thanks Lucchini during her inauguration by airdropping food supplies to the Witches.

To overcome this altitude barrier, they devise a multi-stage rocket booster plan, selecting Sanya for the core attack. Eila is enraged that Yoshika is assigned to protect Sanya rather than herself, as she has never used a shield in combat. After failing to persuade Perrine to train her in shield usage, Eila’s readiness to surrender irritates Sanya, leading to a confrontation. The following day, as the launch proceeds, Eila apologizes and voices her wish to protect Sanya. Moved by this change of heart, Yoshika swaps positions with Eila, allowing the latter to finally deploy her shield and safeguard Sanya during the successful destruction of the core.

After a prolonged pursuit around the facility, Minna accidentally eliminates the bug when it crawls into her pants, which simultaneously destroys the larger Neuroi. This incident marks Minna's 200th confirmed Neuroi elimination, earning her a medal from the Luftwaffe for reaching this significant milestone.

Yoshika struggles with flight issues while Mio refuses to teach the True Reppuzan technique.
Aug 26, 2010Mio trains to obtain the True Reppuzan and declines Yoshika’s requests to learn it. During practice with Perrine, Yoshika experiences flying difficulties, though medical checks and Striker Unit diagnostics reveal no mechanical faults. The following day, Yoshika and Lynnette travel to the battleship Yamato to assist injured crew members from a lab explosion. A blimp-shaped Neuroi ship attacks the battle group, causing Yoshika to lose the ability to fly. Lynette is left to defend the retreating fleet alone. Hearing her father’s voice, Yoshika receives a new Striker Unit designed based on his research. This custom equipment allows her to maximize her powers, enabling her to rescue Lynette and defeat the Neuroi independently. It is later determined that Yoshika’s previous flight problems stemmed from her old Striker Unit’s inability to handle her growing strength.

Sep 2, 2010During a visit to Gallia, Perrine discovers that children cannot attend school due to a broken bridge, prompting her to consider selling a family heirloom for repairs. On a beach training trip, Lucchini finds a treasure chest that Perrine investigates. After opening many chests, they locate a puzzle box containing a map. Perrine, Yoshika, Lynnette, and Lucchini follow it to an underwater cave with booby traps. Meanwhile, Mio and others encounter a trap that causes Mio to become drunk, leading her to kiss Minna and run off. Perrine’s group defeats an attacking statue in a room before finding the treasure, which turns out to be a herb and spice garden. A slightly hungover Mio reassures Perrine about the value of feelings. Upon returning to base, Perrine receives a letter from Gallia stating that the children built a new bridge together.

Before departing, Hanna grants the requested autograph.

Superiors order a final assault on the Neuroi nest, planning to power the Yamato with Neuroi technology to prevent Romagna's surrender and the 501st Strike Witches' dissolution. Mio resolves to master the True Reppuzan, but Minna stops her, knowing the sword has drained most of her magic. Yoshika overhears this conversation. During the charge, Mio fails to execute the technique. The Yamato activates its Neuroi Dynamo for flight and repairs, but the system fails upon hitting the hive bow, paralyzing firing controls. Deeming the mission a failure, Mio refuses to give up and charges toward the Yamato, attempting to restart the Dynamo with her remaining magical energy.

Yoshika and the Witches destroy the Neuroi core and free Mio from the dome
Sep 23, 2010Ignoring Minna's protests, Mio enters the Yamato and transfers her remaining magic to the Neuroi Dynamo, enabling the engine to start. She then fires the main cannon to destroy the Neuroi nest. The dome is revealed to be a shield hiding the hive's massive core, which absorbs Mio. Refusing to give up, Yoshika, supported by other Witches, retrieves the Reppumaru and executes the True Reppuzan, a technique exclusive to Fuso Witches. This attack destroys the giant Neuroi core, costing Yoshika her remaining magic but releasing Mio. With Venezia liberated from the Neuroi threat, the 501st Strike Witches disband and Yoshika begins her medical career. In the final scene, a stranger finds Yoshika's special Striker Unit washed up on a beach with the Reppumaru.
